Does any Custom shop these days offer the modification
to the slide of a 1911 as Armond Swenson did back
in the Day? I am referring to his 1911 work where he stippled
the top arch of the slide. He also cut into the slide to make
room for a S & W adj. rear sight . Of course these days we
have a lot of 1911s offered with the bead blast or Matte finish
but it isn't the same as having an artisan stipple the top of
the slide for a persoanl touch.
FYI for rookies, Armond Swenson invented the ambidextrious
safety
