I just looked at the Numrich catalogue and they now have copies of the original sling swivels for my old Mossberg 22 rifle. The price for both front and rear swivels is $75 (including shipping). I would love to keep my Mossberg original as much as possible but not at those rates. Regular swivels average around $12 for both.

The problem with my Mossberg is that it has a military style stock and the front swivel fits into the metal joiner between the stock and the forend and not drilled into the wood as in most guns. .

Has anyone successfully adapted another set of swivels to this type of Mossberg rifle? Looking at available options I believe that there is a strong possibility this can be done.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I have a 42M -B . Had the same issues. I paid $65 for front and back swivels at Numrich. I also had to have a couple of other items added to the order so I got free shipping. Havlin has better prices on the swivel but they are out of stock https://www.havlinsales.com/ . Not sure if this fits the 46(b) but I have parts for the S-102 rear sight if you need them. I had to buy one for parts to fix the one that came on my gun.

Thanks very much, I appreciate your offer but my rear target sight is fine. All I'm missing are the swivels.
I know that I can attach a rear swivel to my rifle easily enough but the problem is in the front. The factory front swivel attaches to the metal that joins the stock and the fore end. I was hoping someone had maybe figured out how to modify a standard swivel (not the gun) so it will securely attach to this piece.
