Any feedback from the braided jute model? Those are my favorite to make just from an appearance standpoint. The orange style has been the most accurate provided you keep the cords from twisting up.

I took it that one into work. One of the SGTs plans to take it out with the next class.

I don't know what it might be. He has some other videos where he shows his slings. There isn't a toggle or anything on the cords of this one. I would guess it's the trigger knot on the release cord or maybe the finger loop on the retension cord.

I need to find my son's sling, now that the weather has started cooling down!

If you get snow, ammo just falls from the sky in winter. Same if you get hail in summer.

It's pretty good rehab for my shoulder too.

That is a good idea. I dislocated my shoulder and broke some bones along with tearing some ligaments and tendons. I bought an inexpensive takedown bow with adjustable limbs from 45lbs. to 50lbs. for my therapy it helped a lot.

What kind is that? I currently don’t have a good bow. That would be right in the weight range I need.

I may have posted this earlier but hickory nuts work great too if the shells are still on. They fly a little crooked as they spin but the go a ways.

To be honest I forgot that forum was there. I’ll leave it there. Thanks.

When I was a young boy I carried one of these slings with me all the time, they were easily hidden from my teachers in grade school, a wrist rocket, not so much.
I got really good with it and it far out ranged the wrist rocket.
It was all leather and easy to make and repair, as a matter of fact the Palestinians are still using them.

This is so awesome. For real. It’s odd how I was thinking about slings and up this thread pops.

Check the For Sale forum if you want to try one.

FlightSimmer, I have found the range to be very impressive. I just bought a couple of lead egg sinkers to try too. Since I’ve started using them again I’ve come to prefer leather pouches, but before I liked the jute braided ones I made even though they take a lot longer to make.
