Disclaimer: I put this in the General Discussion section, even though it fits in a more specific column, like 10/22 or Shotguns, since it includes questions that generally pertain to other firearms.

I am looking for some sling-type accessories. In particular:

Ruger 10/22: This one has a factory stock that has been nicely bedded, and the owner wants to keep it. He wants to attach a sling to it to stabilize his shots for accuracy. The factory studs seem like they would only support a flimsy swivel, and not that one would really apply mighty force to a 10/22 sling, but he’d like to be able to squeeze in the stabilizing force without worrying about it. What type, if any, of sling/swivel/stud combo do you guys/gals recommend for a 10/22 factory wood stock?

Saiga-12: This one is factory, with synthetic stock. Owner wants a ‘tactical’ (ha ha, he hates that word, too) one that attaches so that the saiga hangs below the sling, upright- that is, in the fire position with barrel over the forestock; the ususal way. I know these are available, but if this sling could ALSO be a bandolier that can hold a bunch of shells that would be what he really wants.
Or, if this tacti-bando-sling is not made, then how about a shell-holder that can slide onto the sling. Same idea but 2 items.
AND, a buttstock (or slide-on-a-sling) magazine holder- not another shell holder- a MAGAZINE holder that has a big enough elastic or whatever to hold a spare saiga-12 magazine. OR, a magazine clamp that will allow 2 saiga-12 mags to be stuck together for ‘quick’ mag changes.

SO how’s that? Clear as (insert unclear substance here)?

Just running down my list of: 'posts that generated the least interest' list...

A sling doesn' t have to be really tight to be effective. Snug is good enough. But put on a set of Wiiliam's QD studs and swivels.
