This is a little long winded BUT 50 years ago, as a kid, my father once bought me a slingshot. I remember it well, a Wham-O slingshot made of oak. It had two slots in the top of each limb through which the flat latex bands were stretched out and then slid in. Now to the point of all this. That slingshot came with a wire attachment that fit between the two limbs of the slingshot and had a "v" bent into it at the midpoint. The purpose, on the box, was to allow you to shoot arrows. Now I had some arrows but why use those since you had to chase them when rocks and marbles were cheaper and plentiful. Question is, did anyone ever use one of these for arrows and were they effective? For people who for some reason can't keep a shotgun or other firearm in the home, would these deter someone? I know I learned to be very quick loading and firing marbles (stupid kids used to have fights with them - sure did leave a mark and hurt!) and figure with practice you could fire a lot of arrows pretty quickly. Any other old guys remember those things??

I had the same thing..............geeze, I hadn't thought about that in years. That thing sure was a lot of fun. I did the same thing witrh marbles, they shot so much better, and was great for frog hunting.
