My slow fire targets are not doing so good this year. My timed and rapid are doing very good. I'm not sure what to work on to get my slow fire scores up. Any ideas out there. (this is for bullseye shooting)

Dry fire a lot. Try shooting into a blank target focusing on trigger control.

Question. Do you find that your timed and rapid fire targets group better than your slowfire?

Yep! Last night I got a 85 slow 100 6X timed and 97 4X rapid I know most guys would be happy with that but I want to get my slow aleast up to the low 90s.

If the timed and rapid fire group better than the slowfire then the problem is 99% mental.

During timed and rapid fire, we have less time to think about perfect sight alignment.

Last piece of advice. You might be forcing shots. When you sense the alignment is getting out of control or there is more shake than you like, put the gun down. Likewise, if the sight alignment is good when the shot breaks try taking another shot but ONLY if the sight alignment and hold feels good on the subsequent shots. I've had strings where I shoot 3 or even 4 shots in a row because the sight alignment was good and the shots just broke by themselves.

Say to yourself something that gives you confidence. For me: "I came here to win!" or "I came here to shoot tens, not 9's and 8's. Shoot tens!".

That makes sence I feel more steady shooting timed and rapid. I had my shoulder tore up last year and I'm not as steady as I use to be so I think I force my shoots in slow fire. But whats funny it more of a problem with my 22 my 45 slow fire scores are in the low to mid 90s (could be the bullet hole size)
