Slugging my barrels

I have some milsurps that I would like to slug the barrels on -- MN, K31, SKS. I don't cast bullets so I don't have any handy source of lead for slugging. Where do I find some hunks of lead suitable for the job? Just go into my friendly gun store and ask for some .30 cal. slug blanks?

I guess you can tell I haven't done this before
