I've been checking my smallcollection out and reading up on pocket pistol efficency and self defense.
I carry mine when max concealment is needed, like under summer cloths.
aaaaai have a nice pocket holster and a nice sholder rig for my Beretta 21.
Find the right ammo and they're reliable. keep clean and lubed!
Last ditchclose range propositions only! They CAN save you.
I alo have a .22 O/U Derringer. Very small and works well. Hard extraction. Usually play with CB caps through it extracts them perfectly!
Also have a .38 Special Derringer. a real blaster!

I will carry my Beretta 950's and my Model 20 25acp Beretta But not the 22's . I

have more faith in the 25 than 22 . 25 has been shown to have better penetration than 22 from these little pistols .

I always wanted a Baby Browning just for the sheer novelty of the design. I mean something that small and so well made was too good to pass up. Finally found one a few years back (LNIB), at an unbelievable price so I got it. Can't say I have ever felt a need to carry it as a back-up to the back-up, but might someday.

I've always been intrigued by them as well. My first is a Jennings J22, purchased back in 1987. Fun little shooter, but I almost never carried it for defense. I also have the Phoenix HP22A, which I enjoy shooting, but it's way too complicated by numerous and repetitive safety features, and heavy, for carry.

I got the hankering for something in .25 a few months back, hoping to pick up a Raven or something, but never found one. At a gun show, I saw a couple of the Bauer pistols, but my money went to a Bulgarian Makarov instead. I resolved to get a Bauer later.

About a month ago, I found a Taurus PT-25 for a good price, and picked it up (I already have a PT-22.) Both "Tauri" are neat little shooters; the .22 one actually produces more "bark" at the muzzle than the .25. Both are late-1990s vintage.

Then, only a week or so later, I found one of the Bauer pistols in a pawn shop (funny; I'd gone in there to look for a 1911 in .45.) Got it for a good price, and it's definitely a neat little curio in my collection. Very impressed with its construction, but not with its performance the one time I got it to the range. Of about ten magazines, only two ran failure-free. The others resulted in misfeeds after nearly every shot. To be fair, the gun was dry, and I neither cleaned nor lubed it beforehand. It's also hard for me to get a good hold on, being so tiny, and with me trying to avoid the slide's rearward travel.

Once home, while fiddling with it later, I noticed that I was frequently not properly seating the magazine when I'd put it in. It would click into the well, but a closer look would show that the release wasn't in place beneath it holding it in. I wonder if I was doing that at the range...

I've carried either of the two Taurus pistols when out for walks, but they are bigger than my Kel-Tec P32, so compactness isn't, for me, an excuse to carry such a small caliber. Still, I'd never disparage anyone who did.

That all being said, my EDC is a Kel-Tec PF9. Not a whole lot bigger than the Phoenix (but certainly lighter!)

I have a Beretta 21a in 22LR, a Taurus PLY-22, and a Kel-Tec P32. All great, small, reliable pistols. I used to carry the Kel-Tec because it was the most powerful of the three, that I could comfortably carry in my pocket. Will they stop an attack? Then I found a fabric shoulder rig that is perfect for me. I now carry a Charter Arms 44 Bulldog. The little guns dont see the light of day anymore, unless the girls want to shoot.

Kangaroo Carry

I've touted these little pistols before,,,

I've touted these little pistols before,,,
And I'll do it again because they perform so well.

Taurus 22-PLY and 25-PLY,,,
The PLY designates a polymer frame,,,
Much nicer than the older PT-22 or the PT-25.

Lightweight, reliable, and Inexpensive,,,
Surprisingly easy to hit with,,,
Very ergonomic to hold.

About 35 years ago, I bought a Budischowsky TP-70 in .25ACP from a co-worker who needed quick cash, I think I paid him less than $100 for it, like new. Very reliable gun, shot it often at the range and carried it occasionally when summer clothing made pocket carry of this little .25 the easiest option. I rarely carry anything other than a 9mm these days, but if necessary, I'd still carry that little TP-70, if the choice was that gun or no gun at all.

How about a well carried Beretta M21A getting dressed for the evening?

Would you believe I have had younger folks that thought the bill was not real?

Dad's Bernardelli Vest Pocket .25ACP. He had it pimped out while I was over seas. If you look at the back of the slide area you can see the very sharp cocking indicator sticking out.

"It's not gonna be an orgy..." It's an Ortgies .25 ACP. A friend's 14 y/o son got this while helping an old lady clean her yard. Friend thought it not appropriate for a 14 y/o son and used the money I gave him for it to buy a .22 SA revolver closer to Single Six size but a cheaper variety.

That is not a graph table, just a Japanese GO table so the squares are smaller than an inch. What? You don't have a deep concealment pistol on you when playing GO? Tempers can get rough and someone might bomb Pearl Harbor!

A baby sitter I had for the kids had this little jewel.....honestly I liked the one with the Ruger Security Six better..... but this is about itty bitty guns.

Her dad brought it back from Italy as a returning serviceman at some point in the 1960s I believe.

SATA .25 Auto. Mix of old Euro money was for giggles.

I had a Model 21A in .22LR but it was not reliable enough for me.
Most likely a ammo as opposed to a gun issue.
Honestly, now with so many pocket .380's I really se no practical place for these weapons.

That SATA is an interesting gun. I don't think I've seen one before. I like 25 autos that are big enough to get a grip on. Thanks, kBob.

My favorite tiny .22 and .25 is the same gun. I've carried the .25 when my other tiny carry was being worked on. The TPH is so slim it is very easy to conceal. Very reliable too.

Of all the small 22 pistols I own, these have been the most reliable. In fact, I dont ever remember a malfunction from either pistol. I have shot so many different brands, and types of ammo from the 2213, and it runs like a swiss watch. I havent owned the 2214 nearly as long, but it runs just as well, so far.

there are many fine pocket guns. one day I'd like a Beretta 950BS and a Walther TPH. until that ship comes in I will continue to carry one of these gems.

In the past, I owned two or three beretta 950's.
Very accurate, and very reliable.

At present I own a Baby Browning, but never ever carry it.

My Kel-Tec P3AT .380 is as small, flatter, and lighter then the Baby Browning .25 ACP.

You sure about all that? The Browning is tiny... even smaller than a Seecamp and a Seecamp is quite a bit smaller than a P3AT.
