denfoote, +1

I used to carry H&K P2000 .40 S&W, then I got KAHR MK-9. It's great, I carry it IWB or in the pocket if they're big enough for comfortable draw.

No love for the CZ 75 compact / PCR / P-01?

Those are sex. My Matt-Mink-massaged P-01 might be here next week. :)

If you want to avoid plastic, then the Kahr MK9 is the only one that fits the bill from my previous post.

I have one, actually. Its a great gun--very accurate.

There are a lot of great options for a subcompact - mouse gun sizes in 9mm. Depending on whether you want a double stack or single stack will come into play too.

Some to check out:

Glock 26
Walther P99c
S&W M&Pc
HK P2000sk
Kahr P9
Kahr PM9
Rohrbaugh R9

Good luck.

Another vote for the P11! Easy pocket carry, light as a J-frame and holds (with the right mag) 12+1. I stay with the 10 round mag for mine, plus one up the spout.

Oops; I forgot the "No polymer" rule, also. I withdraw my vote. Go for the Kahr.

i would recommend the glock 26 but i can not stand the glock sc's for some reason, they are great guns and will serve you well, but i would like to +1 the kahr vote. i have experience with three different models of the kahr that i remember. i own a k-40 which is .40 caliber, btw i love it! my dad had a p-40 which is a polymer model , but i didn't much care for it, he sold the p-40 and bought the k-9 elite, and now that is a sweet shooting, smooth gun, the added weight of the steel framed models helps out in the recoil department and makes it a little more of a joy to shoot. i like th kahr handguns and i think you should give them a serious look. the only draw backs that i know of is the fact that the mags from kahr are crazy expensive.
