Small Amount of Unintended Powder Mixing?

Yea, really! I have copies of published manuals with duplex loads of rifle and pistol powder mixed.

They are very old but it was a common practice at one time and was actually published for the reloaders to use.

We all know better know but a few flakes of any powder mixed in with another kind of powder won't change anything.

If your uncomfortable with it and want to sterilize you powder measure every time you change powders then go for it.

Your the one that has to make you happy. I have more important things to worry about.

Exactly! Bob apparently hadn't heard of it, but it was at least a non-unheard of thing once upon a time. (I don't recall it ever being "common practice," though.) These days, nope. Almost no one fools around like that.

I was not aware that published manuals used to include duplex data, unless you are referring to BP loads? I am currently exploring smokeless duplex loads in a few rifles with WC872. Could you let me know which old manuals they were published in to assist me in my search, please? If you dont wish to make this info public, I would be fine with just a PM.....??

Thanks.

That is part of the advantage of using a Lyman 55 it easily dumps the powder when you are done or changing powders.
