Smartflix shooting dvd rental

Has anybody rented dvds from Smartflix? They have a ton of shooting dvds that they rent online, like Netflix. I was looking at renting the Jerry Miculek Advanced Revolver and Trigger Job from there but would like to hear if someone else has used that service before.

Good? Bad? Looks like a good service to me.

The terms and conditions scare me.

If a video is lost in the mail, and that can happen, they charge you for the cost of the video, shipping and taxes, plus a $10 restocking fee.

Furthermore, they note that some videos cost "several hundred dollars".

Wait too long to send it back and the postal service is a bit slow? Add another $10.

I'm not saying their rules are out of line....they do have a business to run, after all....but the renter should fully understand the risk.

I've used them extensively. Never had a problem with delivery or returns. Never been charged extra fee even when I haven't sent one back right away.

Have been useing them for quite some time. Learned how to do a custom truefire flame job for just the cost of a renal video. I've brobably rented over 50 videos over the last couple of years and saved hundereds compared to buying. Never had a problem with returns. Just put the prepaid peel-off sticker that comes with rentals over the mailing label, same box, drop in mail.

I used them for about 6 months. Seemed that 1 out of every 20 discs was scratched to the point of being unreadable. Granted, these were usually older titles.

New releases were generally ok, though I often had to wait quite a while for them to become available. I'd often find myself with a queue of new realeases not yet available, and having to find something worth putting on the list, lest I sit idly by waiting for the movie while still paying the monthly membership fee.

I rented that Jerry Miculek video. No complaints about Smartflix and the video is pretty good.
