Anyone own one of the remote target camera systems. this https://www.midwayusa.com/product/2...ight-in-edition-300-yard-target-camera-system

At my 300 yard range with 223 and heat waves (Mirage) I just cant see the wholes very well. 300 yards is the max my club has. If you can easily see wholes at 300 with a spotting scope great. I cant. Well maybe if I bought a 2 grand scope I could. But that's not happening.

I see reviews on amazon with not connecting with the wifi at range. Then many say they have no problem. Its like there selling two different products . One that works and one that doesn't.

My range has two of those for members to use. I don't believe we have that model as ours works at 600 plus yards. It works OK, but to me the weak point is the little rest used to aim it at the target. Kind of a PITA to get it aimed right. If it were mine I'd make a mount and put it on a photo tripod so it would be more in line with the bull on the target.

Thanks for the info, always appreciated.

I have a setup for RC airplanes that works line of sight very far.

I use a kids DVD player that’s busted but the video input still works.

Like this but I put the camera by the target not looking through a scope.

One other thing you might take a look at is a cheap drone, a busted one would be all but worthless to most folks.

If the camera/TX part still works and you have the app for your phone it looks like this.
