Smith 19-4 extractor replacement

Would somebody please direct me to where I can purchase this part online? I've looked everywhere. And I'd prefer as many different sources as possible. Thanks.

The extractor is normally not interchangeable between guns, and a new one needs to be factory fitted. That's because the star is reamed at the same time as the chambers, to insure a perfect fit.

Fluff's got it right.
The ejector is an absolutely critical part that regulates things like head space, end shake, timing, and alignment.
Revolver parts do NOT just "drop in" like many auto parts, and are individually factory fitted.
Even if you managed to find an ejector, it will be a used part previously fitted to a different gun, and will not fit properly.

For this reason, S&W restricts these parts and will not sell them to the public.
For a repair, return the gun to S&W and they will replace the part for a fair price.

True enough - but they are available

I've gotten brand new ejectors for several models (25 and 686) of Smith's from Numrich's. They were pretty much "drop in" except that the ratchets had to be dressed for proper timing. Follow this link for the extractor for a 19
