Smith 8-shot 357 N-frames, did any have hammer mounted firing pins?

As the title says, did any of these have hammer mounted firing pins?

I think Smith delved into these after they'd moved to frame firing pins, and I have yet to see a picture of one that says otherwise.
 
No, S&W moved away from hammer mounted firing pins at least 20 or more years ago. The 8 shot cylinders are a recent invention.
 
I believe you are correct, the first run of 8-shots were made in 1997, I don't believe any of the production guns had hammer mounted firing pins.

According to an article in the Spring 2012 issue of SWCA, author Rex Halfpenny states that only the original prototype was built with a hammer mounted firing pin. All others have the floating firing pin and flat hammer face.
There is a picture of that revolver in the article.
