smith and wesson 908 barrel

Well I bought a used Smith and Wesson 908 the other day. I took it home to clean it and to familiarize myself with it. I noticed that the feed ramp was polished as well as the face of the "breech" of the barrel. Are the marks on the face tool marks from the factory, or are they marks from a gunsmith's work?

last i checked, S&W polishes the ramps
