Good afternoon,

I think I am going to put my S&W model 63 up for sale. The serial number is M140XXX. I do not have a box or papers. Here are some pics. What do you think I should ask for and how much should I settle for? Let me know if you need any additional info to make your judgment.

Thanks everyone.

Older style 6-shot M63's are a very desirable J frame kit gun, especially with the shorter barrels, but your photos are too blurred to gauge condition fully. It does seem like it's seen quite a bit of wear though from what I can tell. If it still locks up tight, I'd say it'd show up at a GS in my area with a price tag of from $500-$550. If you're selling to a dealer, I wouldn't expect to get much more than $355-$375 for it.

Around here the going price is $500 for a pinned barrel Model 34 in working condition. $600 is not unheard of for a really nice one. Very desirable guns.

Thank you for the replies so far, guys.

I am not sure if these will help, but here are a few more pictures.

looks pretty good. Same no box or papers. IF I were to sell it I woildn't take a nickel under $500. Give it a couple more years and add another $100.
