Oh, and the beavertail on the fullsize can be machined off by a good gunsmith. That would really help for CCWing it.

I have the M&P fullsize in .40 and also the .45. Love both of them and think they are a great deal for the money. They have been stone cold reliable with all kinds of ammo.

Hi all. New member & my first post.

I've a full size M&P 9 and have put about 1000 rounds through it. Basically I bought it because I live in MA and can't buy a new Glock here due to the stupid AG's rules. ANYWAY I've no regrets. The gun's still totally stock - I've got the MA 10pound trigger. While the pull's rather heavy, the break is as crisp as you'd want & I've adjusted to it. Given the general feeling about gun ownership in this state, I'm not planning on having any modifications made to the trigger as I don't want that used against me if I ever have to use it in self-defense. The gun wore in very nicely after 200 rounds and I've only had 1 failure to feed - and that was with some REALLY cheap ammo. Shooting the Wally-World Winchester 118 grain causes no feeding problems and gives reasonable accuracy and when I put carry ammo through it (Federal Hydrashock 124) it is as accurate as you could ask for.

OP
Under Con you note that rear sight removal to get to the striker assembly is incorrect,
All you have to do is slide the plate down when the white plastic piece (around striker) is slid forward, then it comes right out.

I rented the MP40 and loved right away purchasing one on the spot. After shooting it for awhile (very accurate), I had to get the MP45. Well also impressed, I decided I wanted to shoot it more than the 45 ACP ammon and 40 S&W ammo that I could afford. So, I just got the MP9. These guns are by far the most fun to shoot in my entire arsenal. I got the mag deals on the 1st two but not the MP(. Does anyone know where I can pick up mags at a discount? You can contact me at [email protected]

Whoa....Night of the Living Review. Circa 2007-2008!

Where did you dredge this great review from? ;)

Nowadays you would be recommended a APEX Trigger Kit and maybe some Dawson sights.

They are decent polymer handguns. The only thing I found that fit me better was the Walther P99.

I have a 9Pro 5 inch and a .40C. The .40 came with Trijicon NS, I am installing the APEX carry kit on it.

Let's start a new thread if you have additional questions.

The offerings for the M&P have expanded greatly since 2007...both factory and aftermarket...and they are even looking are changing production offerings a bit
