anyone have any neg. or pos. comments on them for a LCP I am a open carry state but would like to cover it up. Pocket carry takes up to much space. Is it comfortable etc. Any other brands to consider?
I have a Taurus TCP that came with a "Sneaky Pete" type holster. It just takes a little more time to get it out of the holster. Takes about as much time as a fanny pack. Comfortable way to carry, just don't get in a hurry when you want to present your gun.
People always say, "But everyone will know it's a gun!".
Maybe the people that say that WOULD know, but I recently realized that a retired cop pal of mine is always carrying one. Says he always has. I didn't notice for twenty years.
Just my observations and opinions, but I think most folks are oblivious and would not identify it as a holster. Some gun people might. I'm a gun person and have never seen a Sneaky Pete. Maybe I'm also oblivious.
My dad carries one. He seems to like it. Not a fast draw. I don’t think anyone notices it except for people who know about sneaky Pete. Seems to be decent quality.
I've seen a few people using a sneaky pete. IMO the only people who recognize them as a gun holster are gun people and of them only a small percentage are "into" guns enough to spot them for what they are.
