It's been a long relationship filled with years of happiness and good memories. The first time I saw you my eyes were glued to your elegant shapely figure. But like so many failed matches, someone wanders and the respective parties go their ways. It wasn't your fault, but mine....sure money was part of it, but I fell victim to an uncontrollable lust....

In all the years of collecting, I've only parted with two guns, and one of those I bought back. For nearly twenty years I've lusted for a particular model of rifle. Some may compare it to searching for the "Holy Grail". Having traveled to gun shops throughout the United States, scrounging internet auction sites, and reading every article possible...my search is finally over.

To acquire the perfect speciman the price came quite high. Couldn't afford both, so a heartbreaking decision to trade one of my favorites has now come down to this. Today we say goodbye....

Thats the same reasion so may folks get divorced in this age today...pipe dreams and the fog of $$$$s. But hey its only a gun.

Umm wow, thats a nice gun. Truly gorgeous engraving, but Im really curious what the holy grail of yours is, and what it looks like. It must be something might unusual to make you sell that beauty! Dont keep us in suspense, tell us :D

As soon as the trade is complete, I'll disclose the piece complete with photos. This rifle is so unique, I don't want someone else horning in and raising the pot. Unfortunately the Superpose wasn't enough to cover the entire trade....had to add another 4 figures to make it happen. When you see the photos, I think you'll agree it was a once in a lifetime acquistion.

Heck, for the kind of money you're talking, I hope you get Sgt. York's rifle, or the one that Tim Murphy used to kill British Gen. Fraser at Saratoga!

Hope it's genuine...

You probably just want some fancy old H&H double rifle to keep the elephants out of your garden?

Thanks but no thanks....I already have a left leg. Wouldn't know what to do with another one.

I'm headed to the gun shop now....our last ride together. If anyone is interested in this Superpose, email me. I can let you know where it's new home ("Gun Library") is located.

Way to go and follow your heart. Beautiful piece of art, I can only wonder at what your new acquisition will be! :what:

Thats a helluva a gun you traded in! I can't wait to hear what you are going to get...I'm feeling...a perfect condition BAR or something similar.
