Sniper Rifle or Deer Rifle?

To all the guys claiming that a .223 is a great caliber for deer: I once drove a nail with the handle of a large flathead screwdriver. Does that mean I'd choose a screwdriver over a hammer for driving nails? No.

Get a T3 in .308. Better caliber for deer, better caliber for long range. And if a heavy barrel tires you out, lift some weights and ride a bike or something.

.223 is for an expert only while hunting deer with proper bullet placement. For 500 yards, I'd go with a 1 in 7 twist and at least a 68 grain bullet. Good luck and practice a lot.
