Colt Magnum Carry:

Why they didn't call it a BoomSlang/Sidewinder/Krait/Taipan/Copperhead we may never know...

My old man came to visit yesterday, so I took him to the range.

He's a retired detective, and he always had a S&W Model 60 as a BUG.

His favorites at the range were my Model 64 DAO, and my Model 36 no dash Chief's Special flat latch. My dad really liked those old school revolvers.

The picture doesn't look too hot on the Model 36 (bad camera), but it is flawless and has a perfect finish.

May as well add another, the S&W 12-3 airweight. One of the best carry guns ever produced, I'd say:

Huntershooter, I normally hesitate to tell someone about their guns, but that 'M49' isn't. The M49 is the all-steel Bodyguard with shrouded (hump) hammer for SA fire.
That (beautiful! :) ) revolver is a Centennial--but I'm at a loss on the model number.
Did I mention that it's gorgeous?

Thanks Shep.
You are correct I got the model number wrong. It IS a "Centennial" as you mentioned, model 40.

Regards.

Huntershooter, the custom slim grips are HOT! With the dark grip adapter, you have a really classy looking gun, that looks very shootable. Did the grip panels have to be relieved for the grip safety?

Wonderful thread. I'll raise it from the near-dead with a modest offering.

Colt Magnum Carry. Need to work on some "glamour" shots with better lighting, leather, and ammo.

Squared edges on the trigger make it a bit rough on the trigger finger, but she's still fun to shoot.

I usually carry the 3" Ruger or S&W with CT grips. The Taurus is very accurate though and will become a EDC. I fired some reloads at 7yds and all 5 rounds made one big hole. I was quite surprised :)
ChasMack, what model is your 3 inch Ruger? Also, what grips are on it? It looks awesome!
