So after almost 50 years of daily carry, I re-discover the 380 again

Thank you. Looks like the XTP loads are the most consistent. Note that the critical defense denim were within less than 1/2" of "green" as were Speer gold dots. I've been carrying mostly XTP so I guess I'll stick with them for a while.

Those super stack 9s, cool .40s, and combat .45s that we all swear by, often get left at home.
If you want to carry, the lcp will go unnoticed.
I have the extended mag which gives a better grip plus 8rd capacity, so win, win.
It's not perfect, I wish it had a safety, and better sights, and slide lock on last shot.
For what it is, I like it.

The LCP is a great gun, not fun at all to shoot, but VERY reliable. No reason to put a safety on an LCP, the gun is fine as is.

Sometimes I walk into the garage without my car keys, and I have been driving for 53 years, so a safety no matter how much muscle memory you build in, can work against you in an emergency. I don't care for them unless it's on a single action pistol like a 1911, with a 2-5 lb trigger. Then cocked and locked is the way to go. But an lcp which has, or at least had, a trigger like a revolver, it's not necessary and can only be problematic, also because of it's small size. In a gunfight, you don't want to have to look for some small safety lever in order to fire your weapon when 1/2 second might be the difference between life or death.
