The lag screws will have 3/8" washers with them. Which lag screws should I use 3/8x3" or 3/8x6" I have both?

I figure the 3/8"x3" might give a tighter lock down but I don't know.

I use the 3" drilling into a concrete subfloor. Since I have never had them "tested" I don't know which length would be better.

If there's an IKEA in your neck of the woods, you might want to take a gander at this lighting kit as well: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20119418/ .

Now, with all the money you just saved on lighting, get yourself a set of rifle storage rods and increase the capacity of you safe by a third! :)

The nearest ikea is 70 miles away. Im thinking about getting rifle rods in the future if I expand my collection but right now I don't have enough guns to justify the cost.

That setup will do the trick. Keeps the guns safe from wandering hands and eyes and only a determined thief with time and proper tools will be able to steal it.
Congratulations! Let us know when you fill it up and buy a 2nd safe.
