Gonna keep her as a Flattop, gonna scope her? ...or is there a handle in the future?
Why is this an "either/or" question, is my response
There's a reason it's a flattop, and versatility is that reason.

Whatcha gonna do in way of rear sight? They ain't exactly cheap either but they do help in the old bullet/directional theory thing.
Nice way of putting that
A buddy will let me borrow some flavor of decent 2-7x30 w/rings until I can get something of my own; however, being me, I will probably have a carry handle on it until I can get the cash for the optical sight I would think is absolutely perfect for the weapon--i.e. several hundred more, probably
next year. Thanks for the compliments!

Any idea where to find a case like that?
That case came with the thing. Maybe talk to RRA, and you can get one, or look on gunbroker.com. Didn't see that type of case for sale on RRA's website, though.

If you are like me, you are going to really love the AR-15. I really thought there was no way that I was going to like the EBR (I was a Garand man, steel and wood), but I now have 3 AR's and I gotta say they are fun to shoot. A very fine rifle indeed.
Yeah, that sounds about how it's getting to be for me. Though, I have to ask (and sorry to hijack my own thread a bit), but where can you get "bulk" ammo for decently cheap? I would need X
<1,000 rounds of reloadable brass, because I'll just keep the brass and reload it later, once I get dies/primers/powder/bullets. Though, in the 1000 round case, it's cheaper to feed my M1 Carbine nowadays
