The REAL frozen tundra
A week and a half ago to look at either an M&P 9c or FNX-9 for a new CCW (I was even considering a Glock 19, but I still don't care for Glocks' grip angle). I ended up going home with a two tone Ruger SR9c for around $440 OTD.

Today I FINALLY got it out to the range for a break in period. No pictures, sorry I don't own a camera. I ran 150 rounds through it to start; 50 each of UMC 115 and 147 grain FMJs and 25 each of Golden Saber 124 and 147 grain.

I LOVED IT.

This is probably my second favorite gun I've ever shot (behind my W. German Sig P220). The recoil was very tame, I was expecting a bit more for something so light, and the follow ups just pointed right back on target naturally for me. It never choked at all for me, no FTFs or FTEs, no light strikes, every time I pulled the trigger, it went bang. No issues with either factory mag, both worked fine light loaded, fully loaded and there were no issues with the last round lock back (which my P225 loves to be a pain about).

I love the trigger, but I knew that from dry firing, and I like the reset, light and quick (to me) and very distinct when I'm feeling for it.

Accuracy was pretty much OK for me, about 3-4 inches groups at 10 yards. But I'm sure that's largely me, good enough for what the gun is.

Mine seems to like the 147 grain Golden Sabers better than anything else, which is good since its one of the few options available locally.

I am extremely happy with this gun.

I'd suggest removing the magazine disconnect if you're gonna dry fire it. Its very simple to do if you already haven't.

Excellent choice! I've had mine for about 8 months now and its my edc. I have 1,500 rounds through it without a failure of any kind. It's by far the best deal out there for a compact 9 today. I stick with the 124gr. +p gold dots. get you some spare mags and a decent holster and your set!
