I carry a Glock for personal protection, but there are other mighty fine pistols in my safe.Sigs,Rugers,S&W,Dan Wesson...but nothing like a Glock to protect yourself and family, heck even when they break they still keep firing
I enjoy shooting all of my pistols, but the Glock always feels like "coming home." It fits. It works. It's reliable. It's simplicity personified.
Two bits of advice: At least for your G27, you might want to get the mag extender for it -- not only do you get another round, but you have a place for your pinky, and thus a better grip. (I don't know about the G30.)
Also -- my boyfriend got the night sights on his, and I didn't, and I should have. Get 'em.
However, my barber and my accountant are located downtown. (Before anyone says, "Get a New barber and account", I want you to know I've had the same guys for over 26 years. It's not easy to switch.) When I go downtown, it's not a J-frame on my hip, but a Glock 27 loaded with RBCD's. .40 caliber RBCD stats:
Muzzle Vel= 2100FPS/Muzzle energy= 754Ftlbs. (!)
There's also a Seecamp in a Hedley in my back pocket also loaded with RBCD ammunition. .32ACP stats:
Muzzle vel=1815FPS/Muzzle energy= 271FPS. Plus a spare magazine for each. (I dislike dark parking garages. However, there IS plenty of cover.
