Greetings all. I read through this post:
http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=331388
and I was wondering if any M1A owners could answer a couple questions for me:

Will these stocks work for SOCOM II? Picking it up next week and know that there are a few changes would like to make (specifically - lighter, as light as frickin' possible, & pistol grip). Ideally I would like this to be a 300 yard or less gun - don't plan on bipod, 10x scope, etc., hence 16" barrel.

My first post on THR. Thanks for any help, input, suggestions, etc. I tried to lurk and read a bit before posting this, but if I missed this covered in another thread, I apologize.

Yes they are ideal for the SOCOMs (any M14) they are used by the military also. A bit pricey but if ya got it spend it. Search for posts by H20_Man for pics of the SOCOM in a Troy.

The SAGE M14ALCS/CV CQB M14, EBR Tactical Aluminum Chassis Stock with M4/M16 style receiver extension tube is going to be the lightest and IMHO, the best stock.

I have one of my M21A5 Crazy Horse rifles in a M14ALCS/CV... Clyde Armory is the best place to buy them.

Thank you

That was quick! Being an M1A newbie, I am not familiar with all of the manufacturers, dealers, etc., but I have been going through the threads and bookmarking relevant info as fast as I can. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my question.
