Recovering from shoulder surgery and want to load some light loads using 158 gr FMJ bullets with Bullseye powder. I've heard a good starting point is the
max load for .38 special +10%. Neither my Lyman or Speer books show a
.38 load for FMJ/158 gr using Bullseye. I can find 158 gr LSWC data, but
hesitant to use this without the advice from forum members. Anybody
have an idea? (I could shoot some loaded .38's in the revolver, but I don't
like the ring it will leave.)

For light loads in 357 Magnum cases I use Trail Boss powder with either lead or plated (Berry's, Rainer, etc) bullets. Trail Boss is bulky and virtually prevent a double charge.

357 Magnum & Bullseye

Alliant data 1999 -357 mag.- 158gr JPS- Bullseye-6.8gr.Maximum 1250 fps- 33,100 CUP- Minimum oal 1.575"- Barrel 5.6"

Pullin the handle is good therapy !!!! Had mine overhauled 7/2/09 !!!!Completely !!! I did`nt pull a triger for 9wks. when I finally started therapy I tried to shoot some but could`nt hold the gun up hardly !!!let alone pull the trigger !!

Before loading jacketed down , I`d get some lead bullets to plink with !!!

But if ya gotta use em & BE I`d go with 4grs. in the mag brass to make sure it exited !!!
