Since no one seemed to know anything about the M1 carbines SOG has in, I thought I'd take one for the team, seeing as how they have a pretty good return policy and are within a 1 day UPS drive.
Ordered this IBM yesterday. Ran down the BBT today to get it.
As you can tell, it looks like Sgt. Murphy used it alternately to buttstroke Germans and as a tent stake hammer. The wood's a bit dinged up, yet there are no major cracks. The metal however is fantastic. There's a small import mark on the bottom of the barrel that's not obtrusive and unseen were a bayonet installed. Bore is bright and shiny, the muzzle doesn't swallow a cartridge at all. While I haven't shot it yet, it seems to be in perfect working order.
Replace the wood with new and I'd have a really nice carbine. Barrel is marked IBM Corp, Trigger group is Inland, Bolt and bayonet lug are marked AL, can't make out anything on the op rod. Hammer is a W, Safety is strange S, Stock has what looks like IB where the oiler goes.
