I recently got access to a digital camera and I decided to take some pictures of my CZs.

The first is my CZ 40B, the pistol that I usually carry. It is pictured with my HBE Com IWB holster.

The second is a 1984 model CZ 75, a pre-B model without a firing pin block. When I first bought this pistol, it was very beat up. I'm guessing someone used it as a truck gun or some similar duty. I sent it off to have it hard-chromed and am very pleased with the results.

I have another HBE Com holster for it as well, but I won't post another picture as I don't want to inconvenience our dial-up users.

Thought I would just share these as I'm really pleased with both pistols.

VERY nice guns. I love the looks of that pre-b 75. Absolutely gorgeous.

How do you like those COM holsters? I absolutely love mine (BHP). Eric sure knows his craft.

One of these days, I'm gonna get one of those CZs. :)

Thanks for the compliments guys. They're appreciated. And you're absolutely right, Eric does know what he's doing.

The Com holsters are both excellent. They definitely took some breaking in at first but have gotten to the point where they give a firm grip on the gun without inhibiting either draw or holstering.

The only problems I've had are with sitting for long periods, like the trip I recently took to Dallas ( 8 hours ). Other than that, I've removed my gun at a friend's apartment after spending several hours with him and got a puzzled look. "I didn't know you were carrying."

Just so you know, he and I took the AR CHL course together and have already let each other know that carrying in our respective homes is not a problem. After that incident, he asked me where I got them. I think he already had plans on what to do with his college graduation money. ;)

Will the Kadet .22LR adaptor fit on the pre-B model?

I have one for my 75B, and it's just a hoot.

Well, Cruffler, after a little research, I've found that the answer seems to be that it depends on the age of the gun. Some of the oldest pre-Bs, without going back to the short rail CZ-75 models, will not work with the kadet kit. Seems it depends on the width of the spur hammer on the pistol. The 'transitional' models seem to have no problems.

Take a look at the classic club on www.czforum.com and do a search for kadet. The 10/15/02 post contains more detail than what I've just relayed. Check it out.

Hi all, sorry about the delay, I've been on the road quite a bit lately and only recently got internet access again.

Hoop and CZF: I agree, some Hakan's grips would look great. Although, I'm kinda partial to the shadow style myself. Unfortunately, until I can find employment, gun and gun related purchases are on hold. (Recent engineering grad) Hopefully, I'll find something before too long.

Craig: The hard chrome job was done by Metaloy of Berryville, AR. http://www.billyhill.com/metaloy/ They did an excellent job and after shipping and whatnot ended up costing ~$115. This could have been less had I trusted myself to disassemble and reassemble my pistol. ($35 fee)

Again, sorry for the delay in replying.
