In the past few days I have been accused by some people on here of being a "troll" simply because I do not agree with some of their opinions. One guy even said I have asked "200 questions"....I went back and looked. I have started threads that actually asked four questions. He was off a little bit. Most of my posts have been to defend my opinion against flamers and alot have been just "guess what I bought" or "should I buy" threads. A couple of people even suggested that I was a fake that probably has never shot a firearm much less own one. I am not one to get baited into debate with people like this but since it is a nice chance to post a pic of some things I love here goes. below you will find a pic of a few of my favotite items from my current collection siting right on my very own coffee table in my very own home.:)
I DO care about gun ownership rights and DO own myself. I also DO believe in some forms of gun control and I DO NOT like people who can only shout down or insult others that disagree with them or repeat tired old cliches. Once I was even attacked for stating that I was "unsure" of my stance on automatic weapons bans. How dare I not tow the NRA line I guess or be undecided about something. Finally, I DO believe that people that are willing to listen to debate and be flexible on their opinions are more likely to succede in keeping guns in the hands of law abiding citizens. I know I have changed my opinion on a few things since finding this board and seeing some new perspectives.

PS- Does it make me terribly neurotic that I wanted to reshoot this pic when I noticed the barrel of the .357 was askew (almost touching the .44) and that the cat had rumpeled the cushion on the couch?:D

How much 'gun control' do you think is acceptable?

No purchases for violent offenders, no minors buying firearms without a parent and noone that is severely mentally handicapped purchasing.

If a violent offender can't be trusted with a gun why let them out of prison? Why can't minors buy a gun? And who gets to decide who's mentally handicapped? Once again if they can't be trusted why are they loose on the streets.

First prove that you can keep guns out of the hands of non-law abiding citizens. The criminals seem to be the only ones with free access to weapons these days, simply because they dont care to listen to the law.

Even at its best, gun control has failed to achieve its most basic objective.

I do not currently own a gun, and do not currently have a ccw permit due to local gun restrictions complicating things. Your kind of hypocrisy compromises my rights.

I suppose you could say I was born the wrong place, at the wrong time, as the wrong color, in the wrong family and without enough money to enjoy freedom.
I came into this world a citizen. why do I need background checks, waiting periods, class certification, letters of reccomendation and registration fees to verify this?
A birth certificate or drivers license should have been pleanty.

So here I am, with less freedom to own a weapon than a freed African slave after the civil war. He only had to have two coins to rub together on his way to the gunsmith.

Its nice that you get to own what you want. Do you plan on letting anyone else a chance?

Hmmmm....262 posts and having just joined as a member 13 days ago (Feb 2006). That, in itself, tells me a little about you........Personally, I usually try to avoid your posts, but......there are just soooooo many of them.
