I've searched for a 4" M-25 in .45 colt for a couple of years. I found this dash 5 Nickle example yesterday at the Nashville Gun Show.
It is tight and was bone dry. Some CLP and Flitz seems to have put everything a'right.
This one numbers to about 1981. Pinned barrel, no powder residue, grips show some wear, grip screw is a bit buggered. The finish is a little freckled under the grips and shows normal wear. I'd go 90% all considered. No box/tools/docs. I believe I have a very nice shooter. How fortuitous that I finally found some large pistol primers...
Thanks for lookin'!

Thanks, Ya'll.
I haven't yet checked for fit, but I'm thinking the Bianchi Cyclone holster I use on my M28 oughtta work for this-un too.

Nice find! The first handgun I bought was a S&W Model 19 and it was nickel. After a while, I seemed to like the blue guns better. Lately, I have bought two more Model 19's and both were nickel. I have decided that I like them both.:D

Congrats!

I just traded for a 6" blue 25-5 last week. Mine is not as nice as yours, just a good shooter. I shot it yesterday and today. I can tell it will be a favorite. Excellent double and single action pull. Mine is supposed to be from 1981 as well, but I have not checked.

I've found I like the nickle a little better than blue. But, either in mirror-like condition will do.

Nice catch MM, I have the 6" blue version and am still trying to find a 4" counterpart for it.

When you going to the range with it?

Nice catch! I'm on the lookout for a 3.5" model 27 to go with my 6" model 27 and 4" model 28. One can NEVER have enough N frames!

Straw,
I may be lucky and get out Saturday, got a 3" M-13 roundbutt circa 1982, I haven't shot yet, either.
By the way, here's some M-57 N frame goodness...
