I was just looking on ebay (sometimes you can still find a deal) and was amazed when I came across this http://cgi.ebay.com/LEE-45-ACP-AUTO-CARBIDE-DELUXE-4-DIE-SET-NEW-wshelholdr_W0QQitemZ220424647849QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item33525534a9&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1205%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50. How can people be so $&#@&@ stupid. This is $20 higher than the Lee Factory price and twice as much as most dealers sell for. I am afraid for anyone stupid enough to pay this price to actually be reloading.

but LOOK closer...this 45acp die set comes with:
FREE Shell holder, not included with other manufacturers sets and costing as much as 8.95 each

· Powder measure (.5 cc.) for the 9mm. Luger:banghead:
dang it,,,, i better get to bidin, can't miss this un...bye bye...:neener::neener::neener:

Yep, it's crazy. I keep seeing used brass on GB sell for more than new brass.

What if bidder gets something like 50% off his first purchase, which has to be made today, when he applies for a paypal card?

I thinks that the seller hopes that the buyer has an IQ half as low as theirs is. Its sad to think that someone will probably buy this item. Was there something about a 45 Colt 120 YRS old only put in holster once on there also? :)

Last bid was on June 1st.
No more good ideas. May be the bidder is in Canada, and Midway charges a lot for the paperwork to export the stuff?

Almost $75 now. Hell my Redding Pro Series cost $59 shipped.
But the auction says "Lee Dies are the Best Dies Money Can Buy!" :) That is why those are going for more than your Redding Pro dies.

Some people are just plain stupid.

OK. So what's your point....

:p:neener::p

All Lee die sets come with a shell holder. I have quite a few of those Lee 4 die Carbide sets and I don't think I paid more than $31 for any of them new. granted, the last set I bought was 2 years ago but still... (45 Colt BTW)

".ebay.com/LEE-45-ACP-AUTO-...3A1%7C294%3A50."

Well the lucky winner has himself a set of ALL carbide dies! (NOT!)

The seller says he's an "authorised dealer" but doen't know squat about the "carbide" dies he's selling. Nor does the buyer. :banghead:

But, I sure don't blame the seller. In fact I'd sell everything I have at that kind of mark-up! Where, oh where are all the fools when I need one? :D

Oh yeah, Lee's RGB die sets don't include a shell holder.

You want to see real stupid go to Gunbroker look at primers the shops around here have plenty of primers and powder

I bought that same die set from Cabela's for 45 bucks including shipping and tax 2 weeks ago. Would have bought from Midway for a bit cheaper but they were out of stock.

Idiot.

There's some jerk on 1911 forum selling Winchester large pistol primers for $200 for 1000. There's nothing wrong with people stocking up on supplies, but when someone buys up all the stock, and then tries to get rich, that irritates me!

Something like this I have no problem with. The seller started a fair auction, starting bid was $0.99. It was the buyers who drove the cost up. I think its ridiculous when people start auctions at 10-20 dollars over what you could get something for in the store if it was in stock (kind of like another post from today where a guy on gun broker is selling 8lb of varget for 250ish starting bid)
