I have had an Olympus D460Z that is 1.3mp with a 3x zoom for about 4 years now and it’s still going strong but I decided it was time to retire it to light duty with the wife and kids and get a new one. I bought a Kodak DX7590 that is 5.0mp with a 10x zoom. I spent the day some what learning how to use it, I don’t know allot about cameras and it’s much more complex than my old one, I am getting random clarity mainly indoors but all in all I think I’m starting to get the hang of it.

Anyway I thought I would share a few pic’s with you guys and see what you think,

And here is the updated family pic that I promised, forgive the quality but it’s not easy getting the lighting right on all of them.

Wow Beautiful collection there.

Are you looking for a roommate?? :D

We would get along well... I love guns You love guns, you obviously ride sportbikes... I ride sport bikes.... Lets be Roomies :p

LoL hehe really nice collection, I hope mine can come close to that someday.

Got Guns?

:D

Is that a Seecamp lower right?

All I know is when I have a problem with clarity it's caused by low light prior to taking the shot. The camera can't get a good distance reading unless it's fairly bright. I got the Coolpix 950 in 1999 and I still love it. Sure has a lot of feature to learn about.

Nice shots!

I trust one of those is a BHP...

:)

I hope thats not the good tablecloth your putting all those oily things on! Mom's gonna kill you!

Mike, good pics, and super colleciton. I have a late model Olympus, 3.2 mpix, model D-540 but I can't get a good clear closeup to save my life. Have to admit tho, I can't understand half of whats in the book.

Just for grins: If you could keep only 2 auto's, and 1 revolver, which would they be?

Great results for allegedly not knowing anything about the camera yet. ;) At any rate, these pics prove the obvious benefits of more megapixels...more resolution! Color, contrast and detail appear to approach film in your pics.

I have an Olympus D560 3.2Mpixel that I bought about 2 years ago. It's easy to use and takes very nice pictures, but it's starting to feel its age. I bought it to fill in as a "snap 'n shoot" when I didn't want to lug around the Nikon SLR with full body pack, but I found myself using the Olympus and leaving the Nikon at home. As a result, an upgrade may be in order in another year or so.

camera tips

If you're closer to the subject than 2ft or so you'll need to switch to the "macro" setting. That will allow you to get real close (inches) and still focus.

If you're shooting without the flash or in relatively low light (indoors), use a tripod if at all possible. Hell, use a tripod and the timer if it's got one.

I've got a 3Mp Fuji and it's very sensitive to any movement. Move and you get blurry pictures.

On the plus side you can take a zillion pictures if need be until you get the results you were after :)

Thanks everyone :)

I love them all but if I had to say it would be the PC952, PC945 & the 657

This camera is very sensitive to movement as well, it has like 20 or so different modes and variable settings for shooting at night, indoors, during a solar eclipse while your riding a horse with your pet monkey on the back and so on lol, the instructions manual is some 80 pages long. I just take several of the same and pick out the best one.

lol, it was my wife's grandmother's tablecloth but it's ok, I don't like her much anyway lol

yep there's a BHP in there

Delightful backgrounds!

I've discovered automatic focus doesn't get the job done half so well as manual focus, and stopping down the lens can—doesn't always, but can—add a great deal of clarity.

Great stuff! I am still drooling. I now must buy more! :what: I saw a few more I want to get. Thank you for not showing the rifles or I would really be in trouble! :D

"it was my wife's grandmother's tablecloth but it's ok, I don't like her much anyway lol"

LMAO...

Nice High Power too!

I just went to my local gunstore thinking I might trade my Standard in for a Practical but the cheap :cuss: would only give me $300 for the gun I bought from them for $650. Granted it was maybe 4 years ago but the thing didn't get shot THAT much. What a racket...

Another $100 and I would have gone for it.

:(
