Some pics of my new Daniel Defense AR!

As a companion to my recent thread regarding the trouble I had with my Armalite I decided to create a new thread with some pics of my new Daniel Defense M4-XV.

I've heard really good things about Daniel Defense so I'm hoping I made the right choice this time. It came with a 30 round PMag and nice plastic carrying case. I added a Magpul grip and Magpul buttstock and eventually I'll add a railed handguard to it as well.

Here are some pics of my new Daniel Defense AR, hopefully it will prove to be a better choice than that Armalite.

I'm very pleased with it, I especially like how nice the finish is and I really like the flared magazine well!

I was looking at that well known M4 comparison chart and it looks like the Daniel Defense XV has everything one could ask for in a top tier AR, and for $1050 brand new what can I possibly complain about!

Please post a range report ASAP! I am looking at a Daniel Defense M4 with the 12" quad rail and have found very little in the way of reviews online. Would love to hear your experience. All I know is when I picked up the M4, I immediately fell in love with the way it felt.

BCM has had the DD 12 inch Omega X FSP rails on sale for 179. If you can get one of those I would really recommend it.

That is an amazing deal, but they are out of stock! I don't know if I should pick up a full DD M4 or trick out my BM patrolman's carbine?

Daniel Defense is coming out with a drop-in rail called the EZ CAR 7.0 which is what I'll probably go with. I think it's due to be released pretty soon.

Huh? Santa Fe does not have any more restrictive gun laws than the rest of pro-gun NM, despite the large hippie presence in Santa Fe. More on topic, I have been thinking of getting a DD from Warrior Steel/BMC tactical 50 miles south of Santa Fe here in Albuquerque.

I myself just picked up 1000 rounds of .233 Rem by USA Ammo for my future DDM4v3 (mid-length carbine). Now I just have to save up and figure out out the laws here in California.

nice AR , can u pls show me a pic of the castle nuts on top of the Bolt Carrier i want to see how good they are staked by the factory?

all you need is a good rear BUIS cuz i dont really like the looks of the one from DD , get the folding rear BUIS with 1/4 inch MOA. i will buy a folding rear BUIS for my Bushmaster A3 when i get a small red dot optic for front of it and use the BUIS for back up.

just trying to help you get the most out of your rifle by increasing its accuracy best sight is a red dot for inside 100 yards.

Took the gun out to the range today and put 220 rounds through it. No issues at all the gun ran like a champ and I couldn't be more happy with it! All I need now is an Eotech and a railed handguard and I can call it complete!

Yeah I don't care for it much myself so I replaced it with a Magpul one....
