My vote: Practice point shooting your snub rapid fire until you can put them all COM and it won't matter a whole heck of a lot what ammo you use.

But if I had to pick one, it would be the Buffalo Bore 158gr SD ammo.

Currently, I carry the Federal 110gr Hydra-Shok loads in my M49 snub. Being rather strapped for finances, I pick up what quality defense ammo is available at the LGS.

what I have on hand for my S&W 642 & Ruger SP101 in .38 spl/.38 spl +p hollowpoints...

Hornady Critical Defense 'Lite' 90gr FTX non +p

Federal Nyclad 125gr nylon coated lead hollowpoint non +p

Remington 158gr lead semiwadcutter hollowpoint +p

Remington 125gr semijacketed hollowpoint +p (in UMC packaging)

What did that test prove? Since when do men walk around with bone plates on the outside of their body just waiting to fill the HP of a bullet so it won't expand? Most of his tests and information are excellent, I just don't get this one...

I like the Speer .38 Special +P short barrel ammo and I also like the FBI Load depending upon which revolver I'm carrying.
The anatomical construction to which you refer is the sternum.
