Went looking at some shops today now that Im settled in to the new place.Hadn''t been to this one in a few years and got greeted like an old friend.that was nice.
But,when the owner saw how interested the 4 year old grandson was in guns,he was tickled pink.Took a Cricket rifel down and showed him hot to check for 'clear',and how to hold it.That was real cool to me.:)
He also gave him a store t-shirt..eh'll have to grow a bit for it tho.
I"m going back next week and buy that Cricket from him.!

thought it was about time for a 'good' gun shop thread.

So, if you are nice to people, spend some time explaining info to them, and give something away, you can have a long-time customer. Dang, if only other stores knew that secret.

Thanks for letting us know that there is at least one gun shop that believes in Customer Service.

Just fyi, there are (at least) two - his and the one I work at. The last place I worked was the stereotypical, anti-customer gun store, but the current job is surprisingly all about customer service. Kinda cool.

Being nice pays off. Good to hear some shop owners haven't forgotten that little bit on knowledge. Too bad some shop owners have even learned what he already knows.

This guy sounds like a keeper!!

I've finally found a place like that myself...Good owner- good safety (he checks every action that he handles), good prices, all around good service. I have not purchased a gun from him yet, but I would if I had the money. I do buy ammo and some accessories from him. I plan to make all of my future purchases from him.

I got mine, too.

I've got a local shop, I'll give them a plaug and say it's Stockers in Champion, Ohio, that's pretty good about customer service. As soon as you walk in you get a "can I help you?". If you say you're just poking around, they'll leave you to your poking until you ask to see something or have a question. If you say you're looking for something, they'll start pulling things out to show you their options. Their prices are middle of the road, the chain store around here is always overpriced, the other mom-n-pop place is cheaper, but customer service is iffy now that the "pop" part of the equation has been dead for a while. I'll pay another couple bucks to have good and knowledgeable service.

Members who complain about poor service have no problem giving the stores name out. Please post the name of this gunshop so others may enjoy shopping here.

Yes,I should have named the store

It's a small store North of Porltand,Or in a little crossroads called Dollars Corner,Wa.
L and L guns is owned and managed by Jan and Terry Lee.Thsy've been there for quite a few years.
I"ve just moved back inot the area and had't seen them for quite some time and was very glad to see that they were still open.
He has more used guns than anyone that I know of around here, and has always been very fair priced, even on trades.

Let's support the good guys!
