Hello all,
As you all can see by my post count I am new to this forum. I hope I am posting this in the appropriate section. I was shooting a friend's AR15 and am trying to get something similiar but legal in California. Anyone have any recommendations? I am not really stuck on price but I don't want to spend a lot if I could get something of the same build/quality for a much lesser price. The AR15 I was shooting was a Bushmaster and that is about all I know (I am new to rifles). Any recommendations do not have to be the same caliber. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Shawn

Not to be mean, but check out the "search" function--many useful threads. I don't remember exactly what, but I think there was a thread recently about the state of yet another gun law in your state. Though, I"ve heard that the Kel-Tec SU16 is as close as youall can get.

Eightball,
Thanks I will check out that search button. Sometimes I hate liveing in California!

Thanks,
Shawn

Having visited there, I can't blame you:p . The SU-16 is a folding weapon, fires .223 from STANAG mags, and is semi-auto. Or, you could go for an AR that has no pistol grip; never handled one of those, that's a CA-only deal.

Search for "CA Legal", i think someone posted a list of......something like 30 guns youall can own. My advice, and presumably the advice of many other a member is--Move out of the state, once you can. Until then, Good Luck.

Regards, Eightball

So far, a CA legal, fix'd 10 rounder is available. You should still be able to buy a OOL & build one up for yourself.

Ignore the last comment I made, I am sure the search function will help me with that question.
I appreciate you guys having patience:)

@ 10-Ring:

Okay, I ran a search on "OOL" and didn't get anything.

Did you mean "OLL" for "off-list lower"?

I don't think I'm too green, but I'm not quite getting that acronym.
