But, f you sell that rifle and keep the scope, you are then required to buy a replacement. I think having a $500 scope with no rifle falls into some criminal category. Certainly a crime against humanity

Agree 100%...
In fact, I just bought another .22 rifle this week specifically to put the Vortex DB on since I knew it wasn't staying on the Ruger.

Having looked through a few Cabelas scopes I judged all but the Meopta re-branded to be abysmal junk. It’s only my opinion but they were murky with major distortion outside the center of picture.

I don’t trust eye relief as listed by manufacturers, sent a DB Tactical back to Cabelas for that very reason. I'm well pleased with what Bushnell and Sig are putting out in value priced scopes and for ~$300-$500 scopes feel they are keepers on most rifles.
