I am shooting a 20" Win. 94 lever action. Read this whole forum. Looks like Lyman 311440/311441 and 311291 would be fun to play with, but I don't cast(yet). Where can I get some of these bullets already lubed, gas checked and ready to go?

I don't know if it is an exact match, I think it is, but the True Cast 170 gr. FNGC from Oregon Trails is excellent. I load it with Ramshot X-Terminator and it is accurate. I fire it in the same gun.;)

I like the 170 gr gas checked 311291 for 30-30:

I use 25 gr surplus IMR4895 [read H322 pressure and velocity] and get 1800 fps 25,000 psi.
You may need 27.5 gr canister IMR4895 to get that.

Lyman
#311291
Weight: 170 grains
Style: RN GC
Size: .309"
Qty: 100 per box
Price: $9.00 per box

I seat them so long [2.58" over all length instead of 2.55" max] that I must feed them single shot into a Win94.
This pushes the soft lead into the lands like a Schützen-rifle.

Marshall Stanton over at the Beartooth Forum has an array of his hardcast boolits to choose and buy. They are a very good bullet. I use them in a variety of calibers-simply the best and accurate.

I've gone thru 500 of the Oregon Trails Silver Alloy bullets in my 30-30 Winchester 94 and I really like them. And they've been very accurate.
With the addition of gas checks I'm loading them to jacketed velocities and have had no leading problems. That was a pleasant surprise because I didn't believe I could push them that hard without leading the barrel.

SASS: I'm running them at 1800 FPS and they are very accurate. They can go faster, but I like the way they shoot at this level so I haven't gone faster. Ramshot data for TAC takes them to 2065 FPS, but I use X-Terminator that's about a grain faster at max. I haven't used 748 with this bullet so far.;)

According to my Lyman manual they are going roughly 2000 fps with 28 grs of IMR 3031 powder. 28.5 grs is the MAX but they shoot better at 28 grs.

Lyman's cast bullet handbook and Lyman's 47th edition reloading handbook both have the same 30-30 #311391 169 gr loads for a 26" barrel:

The bottom end is start load 700X 6 gr 1101 fps, 26,400 cup
The top end is max load 748 37.3 gr 2355 fps, 35,100 cup
The other powders are Red Dot, Green Dot, PB, Unique, SR7625, Herco, 4759, RX7, 3031, and H335. Pressures range from 16,900 cup to 36,100 cup.
