I'm interested in buying about 500 .457 round balls. Anybody know a good source?

Backorder OK at Midway, ball and Lee 2 cavity mold.

I ordered a mold and box of Speer swaged ball about 3 months ago from Midway. These were .454". The mold came quick, but the ball were backordered and took something like 8 weeks to finally get here, but they made it. I've been using the heck out of that mold, though, haven't even opened the box of Speer.

Masscaster's has the sprue. Not a big deal to me. But he sells his for about half of the cost as those from the store. $34/500 + shipping.

I'm not sure if 500 RB's will fit in the small PO box, but if it does then shipping is under $6 as well.

And he's fairly quick usually. As soon as payment is received they go in the mail.

Will have some more in about a week or so. Just ordered a 6 cavity mold from Dick Dastardly and am about to cast about half my lead stash. Some will be dead soft since they are from dental x-ray backing. Can't wait to see how they do in my ROA. As for sprues, just load then "up" in cylinder so they are facing barrel, never were a problem for me.

It only makes sense than an off center sprue will throw off the accuracy, but I'm so inaccurate I'm not sure I notice the difference in my groups at 15 yds between these with a sprue and the Hornady RB's I have.
