It looks like every online source for Hirtenberger L7A1 +p+ 9mm ammo has dried up. Anyone know of a place that still has it?
thanks,

David

I haven't seen that stuff in years, either. I put alot of it through my CZ-75 and it gobbled it up. Hot, hot, hot! Do they still manufacture it?

I do not think its still being manufactured, but I'm not sure. SOG was still selling it a few months ago, but they are out. Widener's no longer advertises it, either.
I usually prefer the 147gr subsonic stuff for my G19, but I've also enjoyed shooting the lighter +p+ ammo that basically mirrors the performance of .357 SIG. 9mm Glocks, CZ's, and BHP's can handle this sub-gun ammo, and most of this surplus stuff is cheap, accurate, and very powerful. What more could you want? Maybe I'll get some of the IMI stuff if I can find it.

I bought 1200 rounds of this stuff years ago and it sat since probably 2004 and attempted to fire it in my sp89 and it jammed the gun. Expanded in the chamber so tight it engaged the hk chamber "ribs". This stuff is hot hot hot. Fired it in a m11 with no problem. Actually a Lage upper. Not made for mp5. No way. Still have all but maybe 50 rounds. Is this stuff worth $ since rare? But I'd be terrified to fire in a Glock. No way after jamming the HK with that pressure.

I see and this ammo must be quite rare. Considering the age of the threads. Either way. Nice to be here amongst fellow gunners. I've been kicking that can around garage for years. It's hot stuff. Great year after elections. We're safe for now. I think?

But can't fire it in a pistol. Dangerous from the (ten year old posts) I read.

Good stopsman's caliber in the 9x19mm NATO Luger Parabellum.
Speaking of hot ammo. I see in your pic a makarov. I bought my dads mak and it came with some old Russian ammo that was so hot it would sting my hand to shoot. Is it safe to shoot in maks. I since bought some sellier and Beloit that was quite comfortable to shoot.
