Can any of you point me to some reading materials about the various positions (prone, etc) and the techniques to shoot a rifle accurately? (use fo a sling, etc). I'm just looking for some reading to improve my shooting . primarily from an offhand position.

Regards,
Dave

A few searches of this forum using terms like "technique" "marksmanship" "long range" etc. should yield quite a bit of information.

I second the recommendation for "Art of the Rifle." May not agree with everything Mr. Cooper writes, but for beginning riflecraft, there's no better work.

Jim Crews with Marksman Enterprise book's. The one that would be what you are looking for= "Some of the Answer - Urban Carbine". This is a very thorough work, I highly recommend it.
I also agree with "Art of the Rifle" a must have book.
