Rifle shooting books

I want to get serious about rifle shooting now, and need some/a book to get me started with positions, slings, games, methods, etc. I want to focus on offhand, and sling supported positions. (Iron sights if that makes a difference)

I have looked at Coopers "art of the rifle", and it seems a little short/preachy. Anything else out there worth checking out?

I found "The Experts Guide to Rifle and Pistol Marksmanship" by Jim Casada to be enjoyable and very informative reading. It is available throught the NRA.
