Does anyone know of a good source in Colorado or neighboring states who fits rifles? Stuff like measuring drop, pitch, and cast in the stock. I've heard Jon Hollinger out in Aspen does a superb job fitting shotguns, but I don't know if he also works on fitting rifles. Any sources?

Thanks,

Nick

yes, it is much diff (closer)_ for me, to go with sights, than to go with a scope. You can get even closer or further away, if shooting from a bench or not.
I do not know about colorado, But check to see if they have a Division of Briley's up there. I know they are headquarted in Houston, and they are just about the finest specialty rifle maker/finisher, specialty shop in America, especially with shotguns.

thanks, rangerruck. I'll check out Briley's. Is it possible to modify a stock for a shooter, or do stocks generally need to be custom made from scratch?

No, no, they can deff do wonders with just about any stock out there; shorten, lenghten, fatten , thin it out; make contouring for left or right hand shooters, also make subtle bends in the stock for shotgunners.... you name it , they can do it. Check out their website.http://www.briley.com/
