i am gonna start reloading asap, and i have very limited expereince. i am gonna reload .45acp and .40s&w. i have some good loads that i have used in the past for .40s&w but none for .45acp. so my questions are
1) what reloading manual do ya'll recomend?
2) where on-line are there reliable sources for reloading data, i have found some on the powder makers websites but not much. any help would be much appreciated thanks!

Should be lots of data on the powder manufactures sites. Did you check all these?

http://www.hodgdon.com/
http://www.alliantpowder.com/reloaders/index.aspx
http://www.ramshot.com/powders/
http://www.norma.cc/sida/handladd/handladdning/handladdning.asp
http://www.vihtavuori-lapua.com/downloads.php

Hodgdons site also has data for Winchester and IMR powders as they are now the distrubutors for Winchester and own IMR.

I like the Lyman manual for a beginners book or the Speer manual. Any of the major bullet/powder makers though have decent books.

Lyman. It has more loads with more different powders and bullet types than any bullet maker's book. Read it before you do anything else. You may want to buy a copy of The ABC's of Reloading too.

I've several books and many free pamplets with load data. Today I bought a caliber specific load book from Loadbooks USA. for the .308 This book has 2788 tested loads for the .308 only. They make books for most calibers and shotshells. It's only 9 dollars per book.

Online data is great. You also need a good load manual. If you order powder from Powder Valley Inc. they will send you free phamplets from the various powder makers. :)

I mostly use online powder manufacturer information and verify with printed manuals. I also have Lyman, Lee, Nosler and Speer, so far my favorite printed manual is Speer.

thanks guys for all the responses and great advice! i truely do appreicate it.
