There is a factory "fix".
Ruger can change the front sight for a taller or shorter sight to correct shooting high or low.
For windage adjustment, they can turn the barrel slightly in or out to bring it on target.
Note that this adjustment is NOT one to try at home.
First, it takes special tooling to prevent damaging the frame, and second, there's more to it than just turning the barrel.
They also have to adjust barrel/cylinder gap, and other possible issues.
So, if you happen to get a pistol that shoots off target, the first step is to try different ammo to see if you can find one that targets better.
If not, send in the gun, along with a test target showing the grouping and the range and ammo you shot it with.
They can "tweak" the gun to bring the groups to the center.
Be very careful about allowing local gunsmiths do this.
Most of them DO NOT have the special tooling, and too many will just turn the barrel however they can, without even considering the other items that might need to be adjusted.
