sp101 .22lr

I almost bought my first gun of the year today. I saw a Ruger sp101 in .22lr today in my local gun store. Gently used for $299 and they have everything 10% off today. Will I regret passing it up? For $10 I'll tell you where the store is and give you the number. Luckily they'll be closed until maybe next Tuesday so I can think about it. Jeff

That's my favorite .22 revolver of all time. I spent the better part of '06 looking for one of those to no avail, settled for a Single Six which is a close second. If it's not already gone, my vote would be for you to get it.

I really like the look of the SP101 and having one in .22 would be a lot of fun. If that was in my local shop I would buy it.

I've been keeping my eye out around Denver for a SP101 in .22 for more than a year (going on 2, actually). I did find a well-used/abused one a while back in 2" at a pawn shop, but decided to wait for a 4-incher. And I'm still waiting, and waiting and waiting.

If I was you...I'd be there when they re-open next Tuesday

I have one and for what it's worth it makes it to the range more times than not. Pick it up. I doubt you'll regret it and if you do you could easily get your money back.

I picked up a used SP101 in .22lr in Baker, FL in April 2005 for $329. For $299 minus 10% you'd practically be stealing it IMO.
