I won't disagree with you one bit. My SP101 from the box has a pretty smooth action, so the springs were the best fit. It has, and will smooth up even more as it is shot more than the few thousand rounds that have been put through it now..

It's fixing the symptoms while ignoring the problem.
Besides, a smooth but heavy trigger will feel lighter than a light but rough trigger.
