I have the six... I think I can get the SP in trade straight accross...is this a good deal? I have fired both and like em both...I can wait and get an SP another day if it comes down to it. Thanks.

The Security Six is the better revolver. I personally think the Speed Six is the "perfect" carry revolver...I recommend trading the Security Six in for a Speed Six.

I'd keep the Sec. Six and keep an eye out for the Speed Six. It's my favorite all time CCW piece. Awesome revolver. Better than the SP-100, even.

The Security-Six is my favorite modern revolver. It's the right size and weight for the caliber. Please keep it and enjoy it. :)

What are the barrel lengths involved and its application? The Six will be hard to replace if you let it go. But if your looking for the best possible CCW piece it might be worthwile. Good luck

gunhappy,

I was in the exact opposite position 2 weeks ago. I had the sp101
which I never shot much, and wanted the security-six.

Ended up trading straight up my 2.25" DAO sp101 for a very good condition 2.75" security-six. I much prefer the six with its adjustable sights, 6 shots, and better feel in my hand.

I have other guns for ccw (pt145, p3-at, 637) and wanted more of truck/camping/trail gun.

Keep your six, you'll regret it down the road if you part with it!

Been carrying & shooting Ruger DA Revolvers for, um...some time now. Keep the Security Six. There'll always be an SP101 3 1/16" around somewhere if you get the itch. It's not like they "go bad"! Your 2 3/4" SS will be MUCH harder to replace.

I am going to be selling off some stuff I either don't shoot or it just does not flic my bic, but my 4" Security Six will not be one of them. Keep it, save your bucks up. :)
